Hindleap Warren Outdoor Education Centre
Commission: Douch Biomass designed and installed the complete biomass system, including semi-buried boiler house and silo. A 400kW biomass boiler with 6000 litre accumulator tank heats the main office building and education centre, accommodation block and swimming pool. The whole project was undertaken by Douch Biomass including, planning application, specification and system design, building construction, laying of heat main, and RHI application support.

Fuel Storage: Semi-buried boiler house and fuel silo sympathetically hidden from view in natural surroundings. A delivery ramp allows wood chip deliveries to be tipped directly into the fuel store from above.
CO2 emission reduction: 3,400 Tonnes over 20 years
Case History: Set in 300 acres of woodland on the Ashdown Forest, Hindleap Warren Outdoor Education Centre provides residential and day courses to over 9,000 young people every year. Through a combination of outdoor activities young people are able to gain new skills and confidence.
