St Clere Estate (Manor House)
Commission: The St Clere Estate have been enjoying the benefits of biomass in the Manor House and adjacent cottages for a number of years. However, the existing boiler was showing its age, so the decision was made to replace it with a modern Gilles industrial 180kW boiler, together with a 230kW backup boiler.
This was achieved whilst being able to keep the existing RHI tariff from the old boiler.
As part of the installation work the existing fuel silo configuration was changed to an external buried silo with a sliding loading door, so that wood chip can be tipped easily into the silo with a tractor and trailer.
